Baker loves learning about insects. (He's participating in a week-long "bug" camp at his school this summer...) He can draw an insect including all the basic parts: head, thorax, abdomen and six legs.
Baker uses an old, flat wooden candle holder (circa 2001. A birthday gift from Anita, I believe.) as a car ramp. I hide it from time to time because it starts to bug me for reasons that I can't explain without sounding like an insufferable neat freak. But we were playing cars and I was having a hard time crashing and smashing and carrying on with my usual gusto - so I pulled out the ramp and voila! A new game! With new conversation and sound effects by B. He named most of the cars "Boominator." And notice that Blanket was part of the action... Welcome to my life.
(I tried to upload a video but it didn't work...curses!)
We hosted Kylee's "Jersey Shore" themed birthday party this year. We had custom T-shirts printed to commemorate the big day...her friends (yes, BOYS and girls!) loved the shirts. They were super cute. Just like the birthday girl... (I love that I can openly brag about her because I had nothing to do with how absolutely fabulous she is...) xoxoxo Can't wait to see what her life is like when she's 30.
Baker loves, loves loves our dogs. And he also loves the crown he made this week. His class is studying Egypt - one more reason I think his school is exceptional.
It's the best time of year to go to the zoo. Kristen and I took Baker and James Henry today. The boys were great! And they get easier every year... Kristen and I started going when B was two and JH was one and barely walking. Where does the time go?
