After a week in the city it was time to go home to Tulsa, reunite with the dogs and get ready for Christmas. Baker and I left on Dec. 22 and Kevin came home on the 23rd. Earlier this summer we started leaving "love" notes when we went back to Tulsa. And now Kevin leaves one for Baker every time he leaves Tulsa for Chicago. Baker loves to hide his notes and likewise, Kevin hides notes for B. It's a really sweet tradition that we sort of stumbled upon -- bittersweet, but in a really good way.
